Hey guys! Welcome back! This is Staff A. from Tsukiji Sabuchan! This time, I would like to introduce you to a hidden seafood bowl restaurant, Tsukijiro, located a little off the crowded main street! It is crowded with tourists not only on weekends but also on weekdays. Are you looking for a place to relax and enjoy a bowl of seafood in Tsukiji?
Tsukijiro is located off to the side of the busy street. Check it out if you want to enjoy a bowl of seafood in a relaxed atmosphere! I will share my first impression upon visiting and recommended menu items. Please visit this restaurant for a bowl of seafood rice topped with an abundance of fresh and tasty ingredients.

Menu and my thoughts on Tsukijiro

Today I made an unexpected visit to “Tsukijiro” and will introduce the menu I ordered and other menu items!!
If you want to have a delicious seafood bowl in Tsukiji, you have to see this to start!

I ordered “Taro don” this time!

As soon as I entered the restaurant, I got seated, so I started looking at the menu right away. There are so many dishes on the menu, that it is hard to decide which one to pick… The food arrived about five minutes after I placed my order!
This time I ordered “Taro-don”!
There are 13 kinds of ingredients on the dish, and each of them is thick.Which should I eat first? The items such as Ootoro, Chutoro, sea urchin, salmon roe, crab, sweet shrimp, etc. are absolutely gorgeous! I’m the type of person who saves my favorite things for later, so I started with the red tuna.Tuna is a standard item in seafood bowls and sushi, but Tsukijiro’s tuna is so rich in flavor.  Nice! It is so good that I would want to order additional red meat by itself. I was looking forward to continuing to eat it, wondering how good the other ingredients would be.
After that, I continued to taste sea bream, flatfish and an egg omelet.I did not have high expectations for the omelet. However, I was surprised! It’s not too strongly seasoned. The egg enhances the taste of the other ingredients. I already had an idea of the freshness and level of quality of the items with the first red meat, their work is good!

The best part of a kaisendon is that I can enjoy the main luxurious ingredients, such as fatty tuna, melting medium fatty tuna, rich sea urchin, and thick scallops. The flavor is so rich that I can enjoy it without wasabi or soy sauce. Actually, 3,850 yen (tax included) would be a reasonable price!

Other menu items!

The other items on the menu are as follows
Jiro-don: 2,860 yen
Saburo-don: 2,200 yen
Tuna Yokubari don 3,300 yen (limited to 50 servings)
Hokkai-don: 3,630 yen
Yonshoku-don: 3,630 yen
They also have a limited menu and seasonal specials.
You can also add the ingredients you want to eat as a single item, so you can create your own personalized Kaisendon!

Recommended menus and tips on what to order at Tsukijiro

With so many different menu items, it must be hard to decide which one to choose, right?
So, if you’re not sure what to order, here are some recommendations. I’ll tell you the tips on what to pick!

The most popular are ”Taro-don”, “Jiro-don”, and “Saburo-don”

Tsukijiro was started by three brothers who were born in Tsukiji. That’s why Tsukijiro offers three brothers Kaisen-don. The types of ingredients are different, so you can choose the one that has the ingredients you want to eat, or you can choose the one based on your budget.

Limited to 50 servings a day! Tuna Yokubari don

There is a Tuna Yokubari don limited to 50 servings a day. As I mentioned in my comment on Taro-don, Tsukijiro’s tuna is excellent. Yokubari means foodie or greedy. As the name suggests, it’s a luxurious seafood bowl withOotoro, Chutoro, Akami, Nakaochi. Many people were ordering. It’s only 50! We recommend that you come early.

Who would we recommend Tsukijiro to?

Tsukijiro is recommended for

  • those who want to enjoy Kaisendon slowly
  • those who want to choose the items they want to eat
  • those who want English menus

You can choose your ingredients, so Tsukijiro is recommended for those who are picky eaters. If there is an ingredient you have never had before but would like to try, you may want to add it. All menus are in English, so it’s easy for you! There are several tables available for group visits.

Tsukijiro Basic Information

Here is some basic information about Tsukijiro. Make sure you check before you go.

Atmosphere

There are about 24 table seats, so multiple people can use the restaurant. I went alone, but it was easy to go in alone, so I would recommend it for single-person use as well.
A transparent curtain at the entrance allows you to see what is going on inside from the outside, so you can check the atmosphere and how crowded it is. Many autographs were displayed on the walls of the restaurant. I can see how popular it is!
